Hampton Beach Day 1 and 2

So Jen and I got here around 4 yesterday after much anticipation. We were jumping up and down and yelling at the cars to go faster. Once we got here it was a little overwhelming. Jen and I were the only ones really from the west except for one other girl from Central California. My roommates are really awesome though. I am sharing a room with 3 other girls; for those of you who saw my Manzy dorm its smaller then that and there are 4 of us. Today we went out job hunting. I guess I am a bit stuck up about jobs but I just refuse to work at McDonalds lol. I put in applications at 3 restaurants and at a gym. It's insanity out here there are no starbucks and no 24hourfitnesses. Life is definitely going to be different for me out here but I am sure God has much in store for me. I am exhausted so I am off to bed but for those of you in California who are tempted to call me at like 11 remember its 2 am here and I do not like being woken up.

Driving day 2 and 3 and 4

Sorry I haven't posted the last few days I wasn't really staying at places that I could get to internet. Saturdays drive by myself wasn't nearly as bad as I would have thought. I left Nevada at 8 am then traveled through Arizona, Utah, and Colorado. I had so much fun just talking to myself and admiring Gods beautiful creation. I was sad though, I kept seeing all these signs that said deer crossing and elk crossing and I never saw a single one. Thats false advertising. Colorado was amazing though. There was still snow on the mountains and it was so green. I made it to Boulder, CO around 8:30 and met my new awesome friend Jen. I taught her how to drive manual that night and we hung out with some of her friends. We stayed the night in Colorado at one of her friends houses in the basement! It was so sweet I had never been in a basement before. At 8 am Sunday we got in the car and began the next leg of our drive. We drove through the rest of Colorado then into Kansas and Missouri. Kansas is the most boring place to drive through...I wanted to die. While we were driving through Missouri we had an interesting experiance with this other truck. He was going slow so I passed him. He got all offended so then he came around and passed us and then wouldn't let us change lanes so I flashed my brights at him. He thought he would be all bad ass and do the same to us except that I have tinted windows so it didn't affect us at all when he flashed his brights. It was really funny. We stayed the night right outside of St. Louis with some of Jens family in the ginormous house. It was so awesome. This morning we left at 8:30 and got on the freeway going the wrong direction. Luckily we realized it right away and got off at the next exit. The drive today wasn't that bad and went much faster than we thoguht. We decided to drive to Niagara falls instead of Buffalo. It was so amazing. We accidently went to Canada but then backed out of it because we didn't want to go to Canada. We had just missed the fireworks but it was so awesome to see. We wanted to stick our feet in the water but couldn't figure out a safe way to do it. After trying to take a million pictures at Niagara Falls we thought "lets go to Canada" It was exciting. It was a lot like Vegas but without all the people. When we left Canada we got interrigated by this butch lady who thought we were like the devil and asked us these weird questions. We got a little lost getting back to the hotel from Canada so we drove around aimlessly for about an hour. It was awesome though. Tomorrow we make the final drive to Project! I miss everyone but I am having a blast <3

Vegas day 2

Today was very relaxing. I am still in vegas with Megan and we spent the day just hanging out. We went and saw Xmen 2 and it was pretty good. I still like the first one the best though. Tomorrow I head off on a 12 hour drive to Colorado where I will stay the night with Jen and then we will head off the next morning. I need my rest for tomorrow so I am off like a prom dress. God Bless!

Driving...Day 1

Today I left California and headed to Vegas to hang out with my friend Megan for a few days before continuing on my drive across the country. My brothers roommate got us tickets to the most awesome concert in Vegas and it was amazing. I am pretty sure other than a couple of tiny children we were the youngest people there. The concert featured KISS, Judas Priest, Queen, and Def Leppard. That line up alone would have been sweet but then the "special" guests were just icing on the cake; Foo Fighters, All American Rejects, and Godsmack. It was just awesome! After the concert I had some weird guy come up to me and tickle my armpit...Who does that! It was one of the weirdest experiences but it was amazing. I am going to stay in Vegas one more night with Megan and then Saturday morning I will head off to Colorado to pick up Jen!
